TALEEM-UL-MILLAT

Our Ongoing Projects

Educational Projects

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, stated that "the best gift a father can provide for their child is an education" (At-Tirmidhi). Taleem-ul-Millat Trust manages the historical educational institute, Markazi Darul-Uloom Ghosia Mehria in the village of Kalran, Abbaspur, Azad Kashmir. For many years, this historical institute has provided free education and crucial equipment like uniforms and books to children from poor families and orphans. This institute provides an Islamic Studies syllabus and a modern comprehensive English Medium education. Taleem-Ul-Millat Trust now intends to expand this educational facility to facilitate higher education. The proposed building plans for this institution have already been approved and the land has been donated, Alhamdulilah. The foundation stones of an adjacent Masjid and Madrassa have also been laid down. This massive project requires large funds to be raised and has been at the heart of Taleem- Ul-Millat's mission for many years. Taleem-Ul-Millat Trust now aims to establish an Islamic College with separate facilities for boys and girls in the city centre of Abbaspur because this area has a desperate need for a good quality educational institute. The deposit for this land has been paid and work can now begin on the construction, Inshallah.

Health Projects

"Whoever saved a life, it would be as if they saved the life of all mankind." (Qur'an 5:32) Taleem-ul-Millat Trust has initiated the construction of a much-needed Accident & Emergency hospital in Tehsil, Abbaspur. This project will provide an ambulance service and free medical care for the sick and injured living in this area. Currently, this area has no adequate emergency medical facilities and no adequate ambulance service and as a result, the sick and injured who need immediate medical care have to be taken many miles away to the nearest major hospital. Many people have died before they had the chance to receive medical treatment. This area is situated close to the Line of Control, shelling often takes place, resulting in increased numbers of casualties which require emergency medical care. Thus, this area greatly requires a medical facility which would help save hundreds of lives each year. With the help of kind donations from the Ummah, the construction of this medical project will be completed in 4 stages. The first stage will involve purchasing the land for the hospital and the deposit for this land has already been paid. Subsequent stages will include the construction of the hospital, installation of medical equipment and an ambulance service will be set up, Inshallah.

Emergency and Disaster Relief

Hospital2

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him said: "There is reward for kindness to every living thing." (IBukhari and Muslim) Taleem-ul-Millat Trust also responds to disasters and emergencies and aims to promote sustainable economic and social development by working in areas where there is little or no governmental aid. In the 2005 Kashmir earthquake, Taleem-ul-Millat Trust was actively involved in providing clothes, blankets and emergency food supplies to those greatly affected. In the 2010 Pakistan floods, the Trust provided relief in the form of clean water, life- saving food, shelter and toiletries to families and individuals who had lost everything. Taleem-ul-Millat Trust continues to support and help those affected in devastated areas of Kashmir and Pakistan. We aim to not only save lives but also help to rebuild them long after the disaster has subsided.
